Simple, NASA did not send Apollo out into deeper space its human cargo could not survive the Van Allen belts.
Has NASA managed to send any astronaut more than 400 miles from our planet? I doubt it.
I do think though, that the astronauts trained for their missions and beleived they were going, only to find out they could not.
From then on they had to be part of the big lie.
Also what were supposed to be training sinulations turned out to be "actual footage".
So the greatest acheivment was they managaed "to fool all of the people some of the time".
Anyone think they did go because Myth Busters said so?
