I am 30 now, and I can remember even as a teenager, getting this sick, sinking feeling about having to call a potential date for the first time on the phone.
I can get numbers pretty easy, and I've gotten to the point where I have no problem, in the middle of the day somewhere, just walking right up to a girl I see, Look her straight in the eye and asking if she's single and asking for her number.
Well, They usually are supprised by my "balls of steel" approach, and I have taken many phone numbers this way.
But as easy as it is for me to do this.. why do I still get this sick, sinking feeling in my gut, and start sweating When I dial that number for the 1st time.
Is it the fear of the unknown maybe.. was it a wrong number? Will her jealous ex b/f or b/f answer?
Will her mom or dad answer and be a dick? Or will she answer and be a dick??
Anyone know why this is such a scary, yet simple thing to do.. call a girl??
