Burlingame, California importer Splendid Products has initiated a voluntary recall of Mexico grown Daniella-brand mangoes,
as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention linked the fruit to a salmonella outbreak which has sickened 103 people.

Last week, a Canadian importer recalled the fruit after 22 instances of salmonella infection were reported.
The CDC has confirmed that the DNA of both the Canadian and United States cases are a match.
The recall impacts 11 grocery store chains at this time, as yet unidentified.
