the cup is for 44 oz of soda.

when i got home i reused the cup and filled it with 20oz of soda and it filled the 44oz cup.

the 44oz cup is not 44oz.

am i explaining this right?

Well, a quart of beer or juice is a big bottle, 32oz, and 44oz in a bottle would be even larger, so I'm just curious how you bought a small cup ( ~ 20 oz )and didn't realize it.

There's a massive difference in volume between 44 oz and 20 oz.

Did the cup actually say " 44oz ", or the rack where the cup was said " 44 oz " ? Somebody may have restocked the cups in the wrong slots ?

Ok, so i went to a prominent well-known gas station, bought a 44oz fountain soda at the self-serve counter. i drank that down and came home to refill it with a 20oz soda i have in the fridge. it filled the cup almost to the top (without ice). we are getting ripped off...
