However, detectives refused to speculate as to why the man and two women were targeted by gunmen. Officials said they did not want to speculate today as to any motive for the shooting. Police sources told French news agency AFP that the father was Iraqi born Saad Al-Hilli, 50, who is thought to be secretary of an aerial photography company based in Swindon, Wiltshire. The victims in the car had been hit by at least 15 bullets. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/alps-shooting-three-people-in-france-massacre-killed-with-executionstyle-shot-to-the-head-8112462.html
Ok so what did they take a aerial photo of? I don't really want to know myself but that is what caused this trouble it seems.
Well, his firm's based in Wiltshire. Wiltshire has a very large military base, it has Stonehenge, and also probably the most crop circles in the world. Take your pick!
Wiltshire also has me, the guy worked in Swindon, nowhere near the Salisbury Plains and even further away from Stonehenge.
Geez you're right. You'd never see the Salisbury Plains from Swindon using aerial surveillance, it must be all of 40 miles away!! Update: The Swedish Embassy have just confirmed that one of the women held a Swedish passport.
The Swedish passport holder was 70 years old. Interestingly I had a false report, that the charges against Assange had been dropped, sent to me today. This was from a, usually, reliable mainstream source. Apparently the victims were all shot in the head.
3 of the victims, according to the prosecutor. French police have just released the identity of the 'British' man driving the car where the family were shot in France.
I googled the man's name, Saad Al-Hilli, who was born in Iraq, and it turns out he runs an aerial surveillance business based in Wiltshire (where there's a huge military base) in the UK.
Police have said that the hit looked professional, 'like an assassination'. It was carried out with a semi-automatic. Doesn't sound like a straightforward car-jacking to me!
