[quote:Anonymous Coward 20589235:MV8xOTgwMDUxXzMzMjU2NzYxX0Y0Qjg4RTY0] Yellowcake is nowhere near close enough refined to make any nuclear weapon with. It is like saying they found a bunch of bat droppings in a cave (ammonia) so they virtually had a laser guided bomb. Look how long and how complicated the process has been for Iran to try to turn raw uranium ore (ie: yellowcake) into enriched uranium. It takes a HUGE industrial process with literally THOUSANDS of large centrifuges working many thousands of hours (ie: years of spinning time) feeding into a complex of of miles of stainless steel tubing in order get the material for ONE, yes JUST ONE atomic bomb. Go back to the WW2 effort of the US to make a Uranium Bomb. HUGE facilities (many many acres under roof) working full time for nearly two years to produce TWO uranium bombs. Yes ... with all the US effort it was able to only produce TWO uranium bombs (and one Plutonium bomb ... but Plutonium bombs are NOT made from Yellowcake, but from the residue from nuclear reactors) Anybody who still thinks Yellowcake = an atomic bomb is an idiot. It is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE, which any person who looks at how nuclear bombs are made KNOWS. (and Colin Powell KNEW IT when he gave his little UN Speech, as did Chenney and everybody else in the US Government pushing the story in the lead up to the US invasion of Iraq)
American spy agency (CIA) has declassified a document admitting to “analytic liabilities” that prompted false US intelligence estimates on Iraq’s non-existent weapons of mass destruction, leading to a major war.
The document, declassified on Wednesday, describes US intelligence failures on Iraq as the result of analytic mishaps and predispositions that kept US analysts from seeing the issue “through an Iraqi prism.”
