Original Message Sad for Japan, but left unsaid is what happens to the USA if more Japanese nuke plants are left unmanned in the aftermath?

Wouldn't automatic cooling systems soon fail as they become clogged with volcanic ash leading to new catastrophic nuclear failures that bast fallout high into the atmosphere to drift across the Pacific?
