Ive seen a documentary on a professor teaching his students about "forced labor" in Renania, havin lot of troubles accessing official docs of the period. Plus many parents retired their sons from the class when realized him was a liberal...I think u guys need to make peace with ur past, but if "u" still consider the "cospirators" were traitors,"u" as a social corpse have a long way to go
We arent able to talk openly about the holocaust, cause its forbidden by law in germany.
I realize that you can not comment on the topic but perhaps you can take a little comfort in this: Germany did not start the war. Germany did not declare war on Britain or France and only declared war on the US because we were illegally violating neutrality laws by aiding the Brits in the Atlantic and providing arms. That in addition to mutual aid agreements with Japan. The Holocaust is largely a myth... Most Jewish people left Germany early on and the majority of the others crossed into the Soviet controlled areas of Poland during the German Soviet alliance. Hitler brought Germany back from the hell of Depression, re instilled pride in the German worker and did all he could to stop the Communist movement through Europe.
I'm curious about the unique perspective regarding Hitler, WWII, and the Holocaust that only growing up in Germany can bring. I assume a lot of what is taught in schools about that time period is "politically correct", but I don't know. I'd like to hear some firsthand German people's accounts of what you're taught/told about it.
