lets assume that time travel allows one to travel in time, both in the future and in the past, right???

ok, so if in the future they invent a way to time travel as we have been brainwashed to believe that it is a distinct possibility, then shouldn't the human race have experienced visitations from the future?
but we haven't.
so time travel is not possible.
