If you took 60 fucking seconds, and read the fucking article, you would know that they're apparently NO AT THE BOTTOM!! THis is why it is 1,300 shallower than before.. Fucking shit man, no offense but READ!! OP posted it within the first few posts, the fact that the well has lost depth! Everything from the top fell in, and went to the bottom of the dome. It's probably earthquake related, because of gas/oil/magma movement in that area.. AN in my opinion this IS related to Simmon's theory of mega-gas deposits..
Take it easy man.... but it's just that 1,300 ft of "things" cannot suddenly collapse/disappear/evaporate.... do you think this USUALLY happens in OTHER domes too???? sorry, but lulz There is something very weird which is NOT BEING told... f. ex. WHAT was in this dome and WHERE it went.... For the time being I'd guess anybody cares about the WHEN and WHY There is no such thing as SHRINKING/COMPRESSING from 4,000 to 2,700 ft...... Instead of READING try THINKING next time ;) no offense
Assumption Parish officials have been advised by DNR
[Louisiana Department of Natural Resources]
that their exploratory well observers have confirmed that brine cavern #3 has failed.
“The tool used to measure cavern depth bottomed out at approximately 4,000 feet –
a point estimated to be 1,300 feet higher than the floor had been measured prior to the cavern closure in 2011
."

Also, the Parish blog states the following:
It has come to our attention that Texas Brine’s press release was released to the media at 10:31 p.m. last night, prior to consulting with parish and state officials.
Parish officials are not in agreement with Texas Brine’s preliminary conclusion
that their well was damaged by “regional-scale seismic activity” (earthquakes).
Getting Juicy here, people!! Texas Brine may have made their press release late at night to prevent the officials from a.) fucking them over, b.) switching the story, c.) suppressing information, or d.) all of the above.
Official parish blog is HERE:

Seems like they're NOT happy about this info getting out..
