i think those who are revulsed by those threads have probably , over time , done their bit and have moved on to help and learn  elsewhere

passing the baton on , as it were

there are many levels of waking up and i would advise that if those threads make you ill then stay away , they are not for you 
but accept that it's your choice , which you are free to make

people have to learn of themselves and for themselves, especially now-in all subjects

it's no one's job to educate the masses 
just themselves

with that being said , i do (ruefully)  smile when i see 'salt' in action
