A 'mental illness' is a disorder of the brain that results in a disruption in a person's thinking, feeling, moods, and socialization.
Yet our heart affects the way we feel as much as anything. A person with a big heart, or spirit, will have more confidence, and vice-versa.
So if in treating a mental illness, why do we not use pills that target our heart/spirit as well?
Is it because we do not know the source of our spirit?
And if that is the case, why then do we attempt to correct something that we do not fully understand?
It would be a bit like smashing a computer in order to turn it off. Why not simply pull the plug?
