Yeah, I know there a few ways to work around this crap, but why should we have to?
With no permanent address, you can't get a driver's license, auto insurance, auto tags, bank account. Even if you have money in the bank, they don't want you free to just travel.
They give you the impression that it's ok, but try it. Yes, I have gotten around it by using a friends address, but it still pisses me off.
Also, now everyone wants to scan or driver's license for everything. Go try to get a mote/hotel without a driver's license. The driver's license is now the U.S. ID card with your picture and magnetic strip.
Just face it, we are closer to George Orwell's 1984 than people want to admit.
