Because they hate people who are more intelligent and productive than they are. Call it Occupy Doorbert Syndrome.
Actually, it's 'cause Doorbert has spent months fuelling the flames on GLP, posting BS articles about how Assad's troops committed the Houla massacre or killed more journalists or something along those lines. He never responds to criticism, even when it's warranted and constructed carefully, making people suspicious as to his motives. He's been pushing intervention for ages, posting propaganda incriminating Assad's regime that others immediately refute, and now suddenly this? I think TPTB have finally gotten bored of waiting for the FSA to dispatch Assad. I think they're ready to really sully the name of Islam; cause enough of a shit storm to sway public opinion towards intervention - actually open intervention, rather than under the radar special ops and fake terrorist groups - and a full scale war. Doorbert has little respect here amongst the intelligent and productive side of the community, as far as I'm aware.
Frankly, I haven't a clue what Doorbert's agenda is. However, a recurrent theme in this ongoing farce between Western conservatives and Islamists is the on/off love affair. Not dissimilar to that that the West has with the fake communists in Beijing. What this tells me is that we are dealing with a bunch of self serving clowns. After endless hostility and mumbo jumbo, these two invariably fall back into bed, reaching the sorts of agreements that see such bizarre monstrosities such as the Dubai and Saudi Arabian clown kingdoms of extremes where Westerners are in effect overpaid sunbathers whilst the locals languish in stupid squalor. I expect no better in Syria. After all, this is what we have in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, the Gulf states, Egypt and elsewhere. So why should Syria be different. In the midst of this, Israel is a convenient patsy. And after the German experience, I suspect the Jewish are only to willing to do all it takes to maintain their own patch of dirt even if it means carrying the tab.
