[quote:Anonymous Coward 16561762:MV8yMDEwNDgzXzMzNzg1MzI1XzE3RDMyN0Qx] From personal experience, for the first time in over a decade I work for a woman, who works for a woman, who works for a woman. What is the difference in the business environment working for women? Presentation and a focus on individuals rather than policies and procedures. If there is an issue, it is pegged back to a person, the view is very micro. I was in a staff meeting and noticed a combative tone from the woman pointing out mistakes from our department. After the meeting, I asked who was that? She's so-and-so, and hates all of us so-and-so's. And, then I find out other departments dislike my department, all within the first couple of days, I learn this. So it seems the focus is on personalities and the inability to get along or not dictates how successful we are at interfacing with other areas within the company. I can't tell you if there are real issues that have been dwarfed by the emotional reactions by the players, or if emotional reactions dictate perceived issues. I am a woman myself but couldn't give a rats @ss about whether people like each other or not. We have jobs to do, and shouldn't have to worry about getting push back based on how people feel about each other. It's like politics, we have to be able to be "bi-partisan" when it comes to workplace gender, otherwise we are like Congress and accomplish nothing but infighting. Women in this country have limited band width when dealing with any given situation whether its work, politics, or relationships because they can only relate to themselves, how things affect them, it's me, me, and me. So don't expect a macro view from a woman, if you want to resolve an issue with a woman show sympathy for her cause, her problems, because its all about her. Women are no longer selfless, they are selfish and self-centered. [/quote]
