Original Message For several months now I have noticed early morning transports of large steel sections on I-70 westbound. They appear to be 12 feet in diameter and roughly 50 foot long. There is a bulkhead at one end with a man way. These appear to be tunnel sections heading westbound.

These are not wind turbine tower segments. They will be installed in a horizontal orientation, based on the manway configuration.

Anyone have any info? Its driving me nuts.
