If you have not already done so do the following as soon as possible...

Buy a gun that you are comfortable with and get at least 1,000 rounds of ammo. A good pump shotgun is probably your best bet. You can buy less ammo for it.

Get some water, at least 4 or 5 cases of bottles. There are other options but this is the easiest to obtain locally in most cases.

Buy lots of canned food. Get a couple cheap can openers while you are at it in case one fails.

You should be able to do all this for around $500.00 depending on how much ammo, food, etc. you want to buy.

Other things you can do...

Fill up all you empty gas cans and make sure to add fuel stabilizer.

Get some basic medical supplies.

Buy a case of toilet paper.
