The wife and I just finished the delicious chicken soup that I made on Sunday.
We make great money, and we prep. We see how far we can stretch a dollar. Every week we get more supply's and see how we can save.
Just wanted to share. I made chicken soup Sunday.
$5 whole family roaster chicken
$2 celery
$2 bag of carrots
$1 med onion
$4 flour (in pantry already)
$1 parsley (home grown in pantry already)
$2 garlic (home grown in pantry already)
$3 salt ( in pantry already)
$3 eggs ( in fridge already)
$4 rice (pantry)
$3 pepper (pantry)
$30 total, $10 if you have staples and spices on hand.
$30 divided by 2 people is $15 divided by 4 days is $3.75 a day
We had most of the every day stuff so you can figure
$10 divided by 2 people $5 divided by 4 days is $1.25
That is good eating on the cheap, and more money for prepping.
Beef stew, clam chowder, veggie beef soup, chilli, split pea soup...
Good eats on the cheap. I'm just trying to help.........
