[quote:Anonymous Coward 23406708:MV8yMDI0NTkwXzM0MTg0NjA4X0ZCMTkyNjEy] How the Malian Media Views Conflict in the North - In local outlet after local outlet, non-Tuareg politicians from the north, members of the northern diaspora and analysts in Bamako have been going out of their way to blame the MNLA for what has come to pass. In print, one reads that the MNLA “opened the door… they started all this” or “they knew better than to collaborate with Islamists but did it anyways.” Editorials regularly refer to the MNLA as “opportunists”, “criminals” and “traitors.” . . . The important takeaway is that those who read the Malian press will be privy to this discourse and have a better sense of how non-Tuareg (as well as Tuareg who don’t support the MNLA) might react to external proposals to “leverage” or “cut a deal” with the MNLA. These are important details. (In other words, don't expect a political deal w/ secular Tauregs) http://ptinti.com/2012/10/30/why-you-should-read-malian-newspapers/ [/quote]
Background - About a year ago, I stumbled on a website run by a group of students in France. They represented an organization called the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA is its initials in French).
I kept up with their movement to establish an independent Taureg state in Northern Mali. As I followed their statements and the occasional MSM article, it became apparent that something was not quite right. These kids were being set up. I came to believe that I was watching Western intelligence operation to create the pretext for Western intervention in Africa (in other words, I was watching a "false flag" war in the making)...
By early October, the yellow journalism building the case for war was undeniable...So, I decided to create this thread. Using MSM news sources (with occasional commentary posts) I tried to give the background on what is happening in Mali & why it might be happening....
Thanks for reading - Here is my original post...
