[quote:Anonymous Coward 23406708:MV8yMDI0NTkwXzM0MjI5OTEwX0Q5Q0I2QThF] OH NO - IFUN WAS RIGHT AGAIN... Boko Haram’s Growing Presence in Niger . . . Due to the linguistic and cultural ties along the 950-mile Nigerian-Nigerien border, Nigerien Muslims can easily cross the border and assimilate into Boko Haram’s ranks. According to local reports in Niger, many Nigeriens have joined Boko Haram because of economic rather than religious or ideological motives (Africa Review [Nairobi], February 24). Unlike northern Nigeria, Niger does not have a legacy of religious extremism, but it is one of the world’s least developed and most impoverished nations. . . article goes on to discuss ethnic links between Nigerian Islamist & Niger and economic reasons Islamic extremism is attractive in Niger...Also how instability in Mali is affecting Niger... http://www.jamestown.org/single/?no_cache=1&tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=40053&tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=7&cHash=4f36d00fca7cc2861f8b8aa03bfcfe9d [/quote]
Background - About a year ago, I stumbled on a website run by a group of students in France. They represented an organization called the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA is its initials in French).
I kept up with their movement to establish an independent Taureg state in Northern Mali. As I followed their statements and the occasional MSM article, it became apparent that something was not quite right. These kids were being set up. I came to believe that I was watching Western intelligence operation to create the pretext for Western intervention in Africa (in other words, I was watching a "false flag" war in the making)...
By early October, the yellow journalism building the case for war was undeniable...So, I decided to create this thread. Using MSM news sources (with occasional commentary posts) I tried to give the background on what is happening in Mali & why it might be happening....
Thanks for reading - Here is my original post...
