[quote:Anonymous Coward 23406708:MV8yMDI0NTkwXzM0NTk3MDg0XzhBQkY1OENC] IFUN - MNLA & MUJWA were allies until June...But Now - MNLA is fighting for its life... Mali: all day, the fighting between Mujao and MNLA for control for Menaka New fighting took place in northern Mali on Monday 19 November, after the latest clashes on Friday. This time, the jihadists Mujao attacked the town of Menaka, around 8am, with deep pockets. And all day, fighting continued. The jihadists attacked Menaka. "We want to put an end once and for all to the MNLA," said Oumar Ould Hamaha, who is one of the leaders of MUJAO. After shouting victory at mid-day and even celebrating the taking of Menaka in Gao, further north, Mujao acknowledged it had to cope with unexpected resistance from MNLA. Mujao had obviously relied on the movement of several vehicles MNLA out of town to launch his assault. But the men of the Tuareg rebellion still present in the city have stood up to the jihadists. Of both sides, the balance of fighting is contradictory. The MNLA's spokesman, Moussa ag Assardi ensures tonight that MNLA still control the town and that they have identified several deaths in the ranks of Mujao and burned several cars abandoned on the premises. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.rfi.fr/afrique/20121119-mali-combats-mujao-mnla-controle-menaka&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.rfi.fr/afrique/20121119-mali-combats-mujao-mnla-controle-menaka%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dsafari%26tbo%3Dd&sa=X&ei=5vmqUIn5LtDO0QGSpYCYBw&ved=0CDMQ7gEwAA BBC Report Says there are conflicting reports on whether Menaka has been taken by MUJWA... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-20404519 [/quote]
Background - About a year ago, I stumbled on a website run by a group of students in France. They represented an organization called the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA is its initials in French).
I kept up with their movement to establish an independent Taureg state in Northern Mali. As I followed their statements and the occasional MSM article, it became apparent that something was not quite right. These kids were being set up. I came to believe that I was watching Western intelligence operation to create the pretext for Western intervention in Africa (in other words, I was watching a "false flag" war in the making)...
By early October, the yellow journalism building the case for war was undeniable...So, I decided to create this thread. Using MSM news sources (with occasional commentary posts) I tried to give the background on what is happening in Mali & why it might be happening....
Thanks for reading - Here is my original post...
