I am not sure how things are going in your neck of the woods, but where I am here in Ontario we barely had any trick or treaters. It seems like as each year goes by, less and less children are coming to knock on the door for treats!
Yet... more young families now live in our neighbourhood... YES, now we are in a politically correct location where the children were not allowed to dress up in costume at school, because of possible inappropriate attire, so now only ORANGE and BLACK clothes are allowed on Halloween... but still, what gives?
We used to go through 7-10 BIG boxes of chocolate bars, chips, candy.. and this year 1!!
Have we really lost the spirit of Halloween?? Are children brought up in such big bubbles that it is feared they go out to eat some horribly bad for you, but oh so good candy?
Halloween was THE BEST TIME OF YEAR, back in my day. I don't get it!
