[quote:Anonymous Coward 17033550:MV8yMDM1Mjg0XzM0MjcxOTI2X0VBQjU5NTIx] Found some interesting info about Condition "Yankee" It starts with Condition "Whiskey" When Gale Force Winds (34 knots) from a Hurricane Force Storm are expected to arrive in Port within 72 hours Port: Open, No restrictions Condition "X-Ray" When Gale Force Winds expected within 48 Hours Port: Open, No restrictions Condition "Yankee" When Gale Force Winds expected within 24 hours Port: Open, with resrictions Condition "Zulu" Gale Force winds within 12 hours Port: Open, with resrictions. All users should prepare for full port closure After the storm passes Condition "Yankee" is set until everything can be surveyed and assessed. At the moment Condition "Yankee" is still in effect and may not change if the next storm is coming in.
A few things first:
1. We know Grocery Stores are stocked for 3 days in most places
2. Every major Rail Line in New Jersey has major Damage as per Governer Christie's Initial Press Conference. As well, he is emphasizing water conservation
3. The Ports in NYC have severe Damage
4. PSE&G as well as Jersey Central say power restored from another week to ten days
5. It took about 36 hours for people in Hoboken to start panicking when 20,000 were stranded without proper emergency supplies
So could the great community of GLP please gather any information on:
1. Rail Line distruptions and damage, timelines to restoration
2. Port of Elizabeth, Philly and NYC Port Disruptions and damage
3. Same for Baltimore
We are seeing long gas lines obviously as well as people waiting extensive periods of time simply to eat at McDonalds.
Lets get the information and help some people out here. These ports and rail lines have all been effected and ultimately supplies a large portion of the country.
This is what GLP is good at.
Thanks.
