[quote:Anonymous Coward 38624289:MV8yMDM2NDM3XzM4MDg2Njc1X0E5OUU2OUQ=] Do reality checks while you are awake, often enough that it becomes a habit. You will start doing them in your dreams, and be able to recognize when you are dreaming easily. The ones I use: 1. Checking digital clocks to make sure they read a real time. In dreams a digital clock might read something like 45:72, or random garbage that isn't even numbers. 2. Use light switches to make sure they work normally. In dreams they often don't turn the lights off, or have other strange effects. 3. Clench your teeth together tightly and notice the shape an feel of your teeth. In reality this does not change much unless you've been to the dentist recently or been in a fight/accident. If you find your teeth are all suddenly loose or have suddenly changed with no explanation, you are dreaming. 4. Mentally trace your steps from the moment you got out of bed until where you are now. If you cannot remember everywhere you have been, you are probably dreaming. Forgetting that you went somewhere happens sometimes, but in a dream you will usually not remember getting out of bed at all. [/quote]
Original Message
So i've lucid dreamt a few times but its been completley random.
I somehow trigger myself into saying 'i'm dreaming' but i have no idea what the trigger is. And also my lucid dreams are usually in the early morning just before i wake up.
I know there are people out there can lucid dream on demand and do it as soon as they sleep..
Are there any of you that could give me some tips and tricks into successfully lucid dreaming?
Thanks!
