[quote:anonimalle:MV8yMDM2OTM2XzM0MjU2ODM2X0ZFRjczQTM3] [quote:inithiemx:MV8yMDM2OTM2XzRCNjlEOTFF] I found this in a field years ago, I thought it was just a normal rock when a friend of mine suggested It looks like its from space, I thought hmmm. He could be right but I looked it up and it does not look like a meteorite and its not magnetic, but I did find it in the middle of the grass no other rocks around it, maybe its a piece of another planet? I know there are a lot of smart cookies on here does this look familiar to anyone? Any help or direction is appreciated, Thanks! http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/siekone/20120919_100015_zps1c437b41.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/siekone/20120919_100028_zps848f4dfc.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/siekone/20120919_100036_zps75fe2c81.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/siekone/20120919_100041_zps046094e6.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/siekone/20120919_100054_zps9979bd51.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n165/siekone/20120919_100109_zpse3617723.jpg [/quote] If it is fairly light weight I would say it is lava, which is what it looks like to me. People are always picking up rocks and taking them home with them. I have many from other places myself. Some find their way back into the earth, far away from home and now living in Florida.
