None of the pics on the calendars account for field rotation.  Why should they show a sideways waning Moon when the amount it is rotated varies depending on the observer and the time observing?  If it never looked like it does today then why did the ancient egyptians and shakespeare describe it?

Original Message I just walked outside here in SO Calif and the moon is midway 10 oclock and it is getting darker from the TOP!

The MOON NEVER used to get dark from the TOP ever! WTH is goin on?
