And who would NOT call what's coming a tragedy? Massive suffering and death is not tragic? Being spared is not mercy?

Who says man is evolving? I see nothing but devolving people, going from civilized to brutal, altruistic to self-absorbed, moral to hedonistic.

Purification is always painful and disruptive. You can "embrace" that if you want.
