Original Message National Geographic is reporting the skeleton of a man over 6 feet 8 inches tall was found in a tomb.

The photos shows a tibia that is fully one third longer than a normal Roman man's.

The length of the tibia based on the 7 Centimeter ruler, would have been 50 cm long, or nearly 20 inches.

I think the man was more like, over seven feet tall and Nat Geo is under-reporting his stature. A tibia of 50 cm would belong to a man more on the order of 7 feet to 7 feet 3 inches.

Also the Nat Geo article contradicts itself, says the giant was 6 ft 6, then says he was 6 ft 8. and is the oldest case of giantism found. Also un true.

The giant of Castelnau was an estimated 11 foot tall giant found in a Neolithic burial (like 6000 bc) and the limb bones found were almost twice as long as normal, not just 33% longer. SO he was estimated at over 3 meters, 50 cm like ten to eleven and a half feet tall.

AT least NAT Geo is finally getting around to reporting on real giants!
