Like this force did. It shouldn't be that difficult to calculate. Take all images and debris field into account and calculate what type of forced would be required. Then match that force to different types of explosive materials. According explosives experts: 90 pounds of natural gas, a lack of ventilation and an ignition source. City public safety officials, however, cautioned that their investigation into the blast that killed two people and damaged 80 homes, is incomplete and ongoing. While they say it appears gas may have caused the blast, other factors could be in play so they avoided giving a definitive cause." EDIT to add interview with Monseratte Shirley http://www.indystar.com/article/20121113/NEWS/121113028/Owner-home-believed-source-explosion-talks-m-shock-?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|IndyStar.com&nclick_check=1 now would be a good time for a body language expert to step and see what they make of her tears...genuine or a farce? EDIT to add also: a very interesting slideshow of the first tweets sent out along with photos... http://www.indystar.com/interactive/article/20121112/NEWS/121112015/The-first-tweets-after-explosion-rocked-Southside
Better compilation of first tweet's, Facebook comment's as well as few thing's from other site's put together on here, starting on page 8 - 10 http://getthetruthout.icyboards.net/showthread.php?tid=3033&page=8
Maybe 20-30 minutes ago? Felt like a car crashed HARD into the house... went outside and all the neighbors were coming out reporting the same. It was LOUD and gave the house a JOLT.
Then family members started calling to ask if it happened here too (they are also in S or SE Indianapolis).
Anyone else? I looked but didn't see a thread and nothing on the local news yet...
