That was my first suggestion to her but here's the skinny.

She wants the DNA absorbtion. With a vasectomy the living sperm is absent. With her understanding, of medicine (she is a chiropractor) she insists on consuming or absorbing the living DNA. Don't flag me as a troll. There are many benefits for the woman and there's science to back it up. She says it helps with her mood and her cycle and everything else. Getting snipped is not an option.

I think she just wants more kids and subconsciously is refuting any real means of BC. But then again she is willing to do tubal ligation, which is also outpatient surgery.
