I have no criminal record or anything in my past that would stop me from buying another gun. has this happened to anyone else lately?
I've called these in hundreds of times and some individuals just get delayed. If they haven't made up their mind in three days the Brady law says the dealer can transfer the firearm anyways. In any case I wouldn't be worried like I said before many people get delayed and I wouldn't be surprised if I found out that they just randomly do it for no reason or cause. Hope this eases your mind a bit.
Thanks. That must be what's going on. I really have bought handguns recently and walked right out with them so I was curious why the delay.
I really do suspect you will get a call from the dealer telling you to come pick up your weapon. I've personally never had one get denied where the client didn't have something hiding in their closet. I've also had clients tell me they've just purchased one somewhere else and got instant approval so I see nothing wrong here. Sucks you couldn't walk out with your new toy though. Good Luck!
