Hope I don't ever need 'em, but I'll have 'em.
Thats kool but im lookibg for few people who are fed up and willing to walk away from society and do our own self sustaining micro farm as stated id be willing to flip for the land in full and still have money for some solar wind and a few other odds and ends no need to break our backs building either we could do little one room cabins very simply
im doing it op but its a slow road to true self sustainability and in the meantime i enjoy eating. i just spent the weekend digging out my root cellar.
Thats awesome Maybe you should invite a few people to move onto the land and pitch in so thingscan get going quicker
yeah im still looking for those perfect people but i had a bad expierience with an individual last year an im not in any big hurry to repeat it. this may be some good advice for you if your the op i offered a small chunk of land 10 ac for a very cheap price had a person come out and camp for three months who had no money and very few skills ate a lot of my food and did very little of anything in that time finally got fed up with him and got him off the property but he stole some property as he was leaving. just beware
Whereis your land? Didnt the guywant to do anything at all? I GUESS THERE ARE OPPORTUNISTS EVERYWHERE. Hell ill just be happy to find a few folks who wouldnt mind me working a slow pace which iswhyiofferedto buy the land and other necessities needed to start.
properties are in nevada i wont go into the specifics of this particular interaction as i will only get pissed off more with myself for being so gullible and slow to act. if you will take any advice pick an area that you like and start building your own dream dont expect anyone to share it with you at first or even help. build it and they will come (field of dreams i think) some places are already a hotbed of offgridders some places are just very remote. Trinity was right most places have building codes now but there are many places where those building codes are hardly enforced. that guy who promoted earthships called them pockets of freedom i think you may try a search for that.
Hey Yea thats what im gonna have to do but since i do not drive im going to have to figure out an alternate way to travel once i find a property. I was looking at north . Many cheap 10+ ACRES PROPERTIES THAT ARE WOODED AND FERTILE UP THERE AT UNDER 20K And without zoning or restrictions. A lot are already zoned fro camps so that would even be perfect.
About doing it or do most of you just talk shit about it and never intend on making it a reality
im offerig to buy land and share it with a few people so that we can make this a reality
i would lime wooded and fertile at least 10 acres for farming and firewood
i will pay for the land in full and still have a few bucks to contribute but i can not do it alonee
i need a few people willing to live the slow and peaceful life
a few farm animals
we could grow crops and small game for market
make cheese
have solar and wind and generally live quietly as life was meant to be
