I get a 1 gallon zip lock bag and throw a rotting piece of banana or the peel into the bottom corner of it. I seal 2/3rds of the bag and leave the other 1/3 of the bag open so the fruti flies will fly into it. When enough get in the bag, I just cover up the opening and trap them inside and then smash then all! It is a great way to releave stress and is much faster than the other methods like using vinegar or fly traps. If someone has a better idea, I would love to hear it. I killed about 100 fruit flies in the last hour. What a pain in the butt.
