[quote:Anonymous Coward 13248731:MV8yMDQ5NjY1XzM0NDQzODI2XzkxNDJDNjJD] I have facebook with no male friends that would pose a threat to my marriage, I only have hubby's friends since hubby has a real job that pays great and never wants to risk his teputation by saying something on fb that you can never take back. When I first joined fb, I allowed old flames and former love interests. As soon as I started getting 'invited out' for things like mini reunions and lunch by guys, I defriended them and kept my circle of fb friends to close family and gf's. I am happily married almost 20 years and refuse to lose anything dear to me, like my awesome husband, over the fleeting attention of men I knew in my past. There was even one guy that had a reputation of hitting on all the girls from our high school just to see if he could get in their pants..... Turns out he is a divorced, wife beater who is now the local town's resident psycho. Facebook is nothing but trouble, if you are happily married, stay off it. The highest respect you can show a man you love is not to act like an attention whore on facebook. Facebook taught me one thing.... People are not what they project themselves to be. After having been lied to on there by some former hs friends, I have no desire to connect with 'people from the past', mainly hs peeps. Its the present and future that count. Too many lies on fb and too many people living in the past. [/quote]

Yes I said it. Facebook encourages people to have fake relationships with people. They escape reality and form bonds with people they know nothing about. It's so easy to get carried away with chatting with someone else they forget what's actually right there in front of them. People need face to face interactions, not relationships based on computer interactions.
