Tension seems to be getting hotter on the border.
It will be interesting to see if Obama keeps his supposed promise to BiBi and puts US troops on the Sinai border to stop smuggling of Iranian weapons to Gaza !
I know I don't trust him, so you can bet your last dollar that Bibi knows the score. Most (at least most here now) know that this cease fire has been engineered to show Israel's restraint and willingness to negotiate, while at the same time create yet another opportunity for the world at large to see the aggression truly coming from the other side of the fence (literally). Consider this as well; at this point in history, Israel knows full well it has been left on it's own - that writing has been chiseled onto the wall. With this understanding, don't discount the possibilities that again appeasing Washington (BO) will also ultimately reveal that even though Israel capitulates with the desires of Washington under the guise of more and more promises, Washington cannot be trusted from an Israeli standpoint any more than Hamas & Co. As this comes to fruition, Israel will actually have a much more firm footing to do whatever they deem necessary to ensure their own safety and survival. The attention span for many has been exceeded during this cease fire time frame. This is the by-product of a society so steeped with instant gratification, that if something isn't "right now", then it has either failed or the operation is over in entirety. This is far from the truth, and this time is being used for many preparations, both politically and logistically, on more than one front, while also crating an environment where true supporters of Israel (as Israel - not some concocted combined area) as well as their true enemies are all ultimately revealed. This is the beginning of separating the wheat from the chaff.
Another positive development for Israel -- look at this thread. Normally an international, Conspiracy Internet forum would be a veritable magnet for assorted neo-Nazi, Muslims, deranged Truthrs and massive Muslim-oil funded propaganda shills & trolls. Even the few neutral & pro-Israel people, would be so swamped by the deluge of ignorance, lies and spin... that they would be seriously questioning their convictions, possibly even switching to the Dark side.... The exact opposite happened: Israel supporters and neutral American patriots OUTNUMBER the haters. Not only that, look how many regular posters here are able to easily dispel vicious, vile pro-Hamas Pallywood propaganda trash. Whereas before even pro-Israelis couldn't even find Israel on a MAP... now they, myself included, can tell you the fine aspects of dynamic, crazy Israeli POLITICS and aspects of military operations. If anything, despite the absolutely massive propganda avalanche by BBC/CNN/RT to sell the fraudelent Pali narrative that Israel is committing Genocide on peaceful jihadis in Gaza.....Israel is the one that is coming off as looking like a REASONABLE, compromising party, if not an outright victim of Pali aggression. Hamas are the ones who are looking like pathetic, sadistic BARBARIANS. Even the Saudi Arabia media are ripping them for executing those "collaborator" without proof or trial, then defiling & parading their corpses for all the world to see -- which is against Islamic teaching. Yes, Saudi Arabia! Wow
Agreed, Ashton
While IDF did a better job at PR, which Israel is notoriously sucky & naive about.... Truth of the matter is: the Free World has slowly starting to realize that Israel is on the FRONT lines in the clash of civilizations that most complacent, fat "enlightened" can no longer stick their heads into the ground Ostrich-style from.... Like Israel or Jews or not.... agree with Israel's policies or not..... Israel is the proverbial canary in a coal-mine. Once the Islamic Juggenaut snuff Israel out... YOU ALL are next. Literally. No exaggeration, no feat-mongering, no forced dramatization here. Whether "hard" Jihad of 9/11 next time probably including dirty-bomb....OR the "soft" jihad of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, UAE literally buying their way into first influence, then power in the West --- all while spreading mosques, radical schools, terror-money laundering "charitable" organization fronts...opening borders to unlimted Muslim immigrationo & demographic conquest that we are already starting to understand. We/you all are NEXT. Simple as that. So better get behind Israel in the next 10 years, or we are ALL lost.
I'd have to say that 10 years is a far too generous time line. I also don't forecast the weather, but I do know that when I see clouds rolling over the mountains that a storm is headed our way.
