Exactly. The war machine is a corporation. It purposely has a single goal. just like a fiscal corporation. maximize benefit for itself, at any cost. See scandals of generals who could full well afford hookers, but tapped women on the payroll.

This is not a platitude or observation. It is a legal fact.

As the OP stated, the only thing that stops war is [b]war wearines[/b]s. Not another army. Not cease fires. Not elder statesmen. Not technological advancement (always a big excuse for the war machine). Even exhausting the resources/ideals purportedly contested does not stop war.

The US is the only country that can sustain total permanent war on terra. The spelling/pronunciation was not incorrect. It is permanent war on earth brought in by the neo-cons of BOTH US political parties.

The oldsters will remember  back in 2002, and 2006 when the US government sent out $600 checks to every man woman and child.  They told us the economy was terrible. I am not very smart, but I think the economy is about 100 times worse, but no checks.
