Ashland chemical plat us a manufacturer of specialty chemical for pharmaceuticals and paint thinners ironic they make both in one plant but that's another topic.
The plant burst into flames earlier today send a pillar of black smoke into the air that could be seen from nearby cities.
Evacuation of neighboring communities to the quarter mile blaze have been implimented.
This happens to be another in the growing list of plant explosions on US soil as well as in the gulf.
Casualties have not been mentioned but estimates are what they are the count will rise as the fact are gathered amd the smoke clears
Not a doom sayer but do these events seem a bit peculiar to you, think about it in the past week how many sudden explosions have occurred ?
