Anybody else experiencing a Diesel or Gasoline shortage in their area?.....we are.
we got a E-mail from our state procurement agency this morning that said for us to expect a shortage of fuel deliveries and if possible, arrange for immediate fuel delivery!
we called our "supplier" and we got a "No Go"...we started calling other "suppliers" and found one who said they could maybe help us out.
when we were talking to him, he said "if we don't get this this in motion soon, the Charlotte depot said they would be out of Diesel by 1:00 pm"
I instructed my 2nd guy to start inquires to line up another "supplier" just in case this firm fell through(and I wasn't sure I believed the guy)
well after about 15 mins he calls me over and says to listen to this voice mail he just got...it was from a large southern convenience store chain...the guy said "we are looking ourselves, Diesel is out at 2 large depots now, Belton, SC. and North Augusta...if you guys find someone with some to spare, let us know please"
I sent a email blast to several guys I know who own Diesel trucks and told them what was going on and what I'd heard...and ask them to report what the were seeing "in the field"...several replied that prices had risen 16-25 cents overnight
we heard this may have something to do with it"
