[quote:Ralph--a house dog:MV8yMDU2MTQxXzM0NTc0MzA1X0I4NjM0RjRF] [quote:Anonymous Coward 22213691:MV8yMDU2MTQxXzM0NTczODkyXzY2NDdCNkZD] yes you can buy online. US and Canadian pharmacies require a written Rx on file to send them a copy. Mexican pharmacies do not. Their pharmacists are allowed to write prescriptions. I have gotten 100% safe, effective, high-quality antibiotics from Mexico. (Our family has used amoxicillin and augmentin for children's sinus infections; Maxalt for migraines, and a blood pressure med my husband used to be on.) Of course, these were bought in person, but many of their websites ask for symptom description so the pharmacist can diagnose. It's worth looking into. If you are in the USA (and I don't want to assume because I know people can hide their ISP) I'm assuming you want to buy online because you think it will be cheaper? It's not. Usually those are higher price for profit. If you have a small drugstore or grocery-store chain that has a walk-in clinic, or a family doctor nearby, they are usually staffed by a nurse practicioner who's also allowed to write Rx. They are usually easier to get a fast appointment with. When you phone for appointment or arrive to a walk-in clinic, be honest and tell them you're broke and sick. If you can offer $10 or $20 now, ask if they will bill you the remainder. Tell them that paying for the clinic visit is all the money you have, and ask if they have any free sample available for what they were going to write a Rx. You'd be surprised what clinics often have. Since you're not looking for narcotics, they are not going to think anything badly at all for you asking. That's exactly why pharmacy reps come around and leave tons of samples, hoping it will influence the clinic to write Rx for those brands. But the samples are there, so always ask. If you are fighting sinus/head cold many herbal and holistic therapies are actually better. Echinacea for 10 days only. There are herbal 'cold/flu' hot teas that will thin mucus and shrink swelling. Vicks vapor rub on the chest & throat plus a warm beaniebag will help open lungs. Don't know what's infected of course. If... you were shopping on-line without an Rx because of a long-term illness that 99% of doctors are not trained to treat correctly and your reason has nothing to do with money... then I'd encourage you to seek out support forums for people with same symptoms and needs. That's where you'll get the best sources and shopping info. Hope I helped, instead of wasting your time. Good Luck & hope you get well soon.
Lots of good advice in this post, but what if one just wants to stockpile some antibiotics? I do have a copy of the latest info on the longer shelf lives of most meds as determined by the US military and do not plan to keep any 'cycline family drugs past expiration. I think that is the main reason most people want to buy them online. If you are really sick you don't have time to wait for a mail order so you just go to the doctor. I have found many drugs to be cheaper online than their full retail price. Example: Clavamox, a jacked-up version of amoxycillin that works when amoxycillin does not, such as for deep tissue wounds. A very effective drug. $4 retail; at least half that online. With insurance of course it is much cheaper to fill it at the local drugstore but I can't get a prescription unless I have a current need for the drug. Could you tell of me of some reputable Mexican pharmacies? I would like to check out their web sites as you mentioned. Thanks!
