So I've been thinking of late, the way in which certain banes work and the policies set to implement them, and i

i may be on the mark with this one.
When an AC user enters the site, their IP address is logged and tracked using a particular web server tool (be it through Apache or whatever software this site uses). An AC user has X amount of "comment quota" that they are able to use ie, they can only comment a number of times, before they run out of quota. When this quota reaches 0, they are baned automatically for having exhausted the amount of times they are able to comment.
Now this is only a theory of
ONE
type of bane, as i know there are other automated types.
Mods, i would very much like to know whether I'm right or not.
