I keep hearing this on GLP.
I would just like to point out that a corporation is...
-A legal organization of people.
-With a president and a board of directors, that makes rules and decisions concerning how the company should make money.
-The president and board of directors is elected by shareholders. The shareholders get the profit from the corporation, and the president and the board of directors get paid a salary.
-If the shareholders are not pleased with profits they fire the CEO and/or board of directors.
So... when you think of America.
We have a president.
Board of Directors (senate n Congress)
and shareholders (citizens of the United States)
So yeah... the United States is a corporation. And our government must please the citizens or we fire them. However, their performance should not be viewed monetarily, but rather in terms of personal happiness.
