Original Message Anyone else dislike the extreme feelings of guilt brought on by the religion you were born in? Week after week of being told what a sinner I am in church has made me feel like an asshole for doing just about anything that isn't charitable, breaking my leg for someone, or putting my own agenda at risk.

It's literally difficult to live for myself due to these encrypted ideas.

I personally wonder if God wanted to be a psychological hindrance that pains us with guilt, or if he'd prefer we live, learn, and keep growing. The whole religion thing is just too much. Not the responsibility aspect, but all of the dam rules and then the EXTREME attitude of other religious folks and church goers.

It's just too much for me. I don't want to reject God but this whole thing sorta sucks. I hope he won't hate me for saying it.

Coming from a 'confirmed Catholic'.

God bless.
