The name change basically came when the rulership of one was replaced by another and that one implemented his system. If you want it in literal names, according to Sithchen, Enlil held dominion over the affairs of his kind and mankind for a long period tied into certain zodiac cycles. When Marduk, his nephew, became the head guy in charge, he renamed everybody according to how he wanted to run things and have history recorded. He named himself Ra and made the sun his symbol and everything and everyone fell under him. So they were the same beings, just renamed with new ranks; some higher, some lower, but all still "the gods". :sun:
Thanks for that............that's what I was aiming at.
Just wanting to know...................
Many say Egyptian Civilization is actually OLDER than the Sumerians.........also, the Egyptian Gods are way more interesting to me, at least.
Could Setchin be wrong?
Were we actually created by Ra and his kin?
Or otherwise? Waiting for an answer..........
