[quote:Anonymous Coward 1711362:MV8yMDYxODYxXzM0Njg3NTI2X0M1NzdFQTg2] [quote:JesseDart:MV8yMDYxODYxXzM0Njg3MDYxXzM5QjQ3OENB] This is really pissing me off the more I think about it. Walmart is the enemy of the American people, yet some of the you are so blinded by your brainwashing and insatiable need for more cheap chinese shinies that you just cant help but come to defend a company that intentionally destroys communities in the name of capitalism. You as taxpayers subsidize Walmart profits by paying for their employee benefits, doesnt that irk you at all? Walmart is so scared of their employees forming unions that they are willing to walk away from stores that are entirely stocked and ready to open, doesnt that alone tell you that their business practices include things that would never fly with an educated organized workforce? Lawsuit after lawsuit is filed against this business due to the way they treat employees and some of you cheer them on. Its pathetic.
And whats the solution pray tell us? Should a business never EVER grow after opening its 1st store? Should the government FORCE a business to stay small? Growing bigger, expanding and progressing day by day is in human nature. From horse run carts to Ferrari and from pencils to laptop and blackberries, its all an expression of the human mind. Growth is in the human genome. It despises stifling rules and regulations from a third party such as the government. Government is the problem, not a solution. Its only natural that walmart expanded and became a giant like it is today. No person on this planet has the right to stop it or any business or person from expanding. Because if they do, where would it stop? It would turn into a socialist hell where people might not be happy but everybody would share an equal amount of misery. Today if the government, unions, tree loving hippies succeed in stopping walmart, tomorrow they'll come after you. Even your 1 store would be too much so you better have only half of it. :huffy::huffy::huffy:
Despite union efforts to target retailers like Walmart, businesses are reporting record Black Friday traffic – the biggest sign yet that the unions are out of touch with the American people. Starting at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Walmart put its products on Black Friday sale, sparking a run to the stores and earning the stores record sales.
They’ve already sold nearly 2 million towels, 1.3 million televisions, and 250,000 bicycles. According to Walmart Chief Executive Bill Simon, over 1.3 million Walmart staffers are on duty. There have been picket lines around the country, but the movement has been far less effective than expected.
