Probably not....
Our prezzo thinks he's a chief/king, not a public servant. Unfortunately, so do his brainless 'voters'.
I spent sometime educating myself on the situation in South Africa recently...sounds like an extremely volatile and scary place to live...especially for women, children and the white people... is this how it really is? The rapes and murders...and the lack of any real justice....this world really is a horrid place.
Economically the boat still floats. I make good money and generally things seem ok. But it's a facade. The recent surge in violent protests for wage increases will suddenly boil over from coast to coast. We whites have it pretty easy and we don't want to think about it...but it's coming and it will be driven not by 'revenge', but by socio-economic conditions. Crime is out of control and the government is powerless and cannot curb it. I have been the 'victim' of crime (theft) 5 times in the last 3 months. The poor of South Africa will never see what they have been promised...and time is running out.
It is a nation racked by poverty, where 13 million people survive on less than £1 a day, and two million have no access to a toilet.
Yet as his people struggle in squalor, South African president Jacob Zuma has sparked outrage by spending £17.5 million to upgrade his rural family home.
Lavish works – which include the construction of 31 new houses, an underground bunker accessed by lifts and a helipad – will cost almost as much as the £19million British taxpayers send to South Africa in annual aid.
