I will NEVER take gov benefits as that says hey I need you to take care of us! I'm in the auto sales business and used to enjoy it but the banks will no longer lend on older vehicles thus making my business obsolete unless people have cash which is not often these days. I am ready for something else but not just anything. If desperation struck yes I would deliver pizzas! It's been a stressful business and I'm actually enjoying the down time but it's too much down time for me. I just told my wife the other day I want to volunteer Christmas Eve at a homeless shelter so I'm going to look into doing that. We are fortunate enough to have some inventory that will be cash but they are not selling so we are just scraping by until then. My skills in selling are good but I would rather do something helping people this time around. :peace:
OP if you are in auto sales Craingslist and www.ebay.com are your friend. And you don't have to leave home unless someone with cash in hand comes to view what's for sale. Lots of people can get loans via their credit unions. Forget the banks. Autos are often auctioned off on ebay. Craig's list works well for local sales.
OK so the first time for me ever of basically being unemployed. I own my own business but literally have no business so I don't even go in to work because I have no heat or electricity there (remodel I can't afford to finish). Anyway I'm used to being busy all day nearly everyday and now I just stay up later and sleep in later. Not much cash so not a whole lot to do and it's driving me mad. For the first time after 12 years in business I'm considering finding a jon ahhh!! Believe that will be a tough one after only being my own boss. I do enjoy spending the time with my wife and son but not working makes me feel like I don't have much purpose. I can ride it out until Jan if TEOTWAWKI doesn't happen.
