It seems as though everyone that I ask has a low temperature. Please contribute your thoughts.
I think our thermometers nowadays are junk, that's what. nothing beats mercury in an old-style thermometer. and if you want real body-core temperature, take it rectally. Former nurse.
This morning my temperature was 95.8. Right now it is 96.2. Plus I continue to gain weight. I may buy an ear thermometer as I believe they are more accurate.
there is a rhythm to your temperature throughout the day. if it was 95.8 in the AM and rose to 96.2, it is showing the normal increase, which usually continues til about 4 in the afternoon. then it goes down again slightly. you are right to try another thermometer. Use the same one on any given day. so your baseline is low, but the fact that it went up is normal. this is in addition to temp elevations due to exercise or whatever - it is just a normal pattern. Original Message
Several people I know, including me and my husband, have a "well" temperature of 95 to 97 degrees. Despite us all having 98.6 in the past.
This has resulted in thyroid problems, weight gain, etc.
Has anyone had this experience?
Or know of the true cause or remedies?
