Does anyone else find the ending of this article a bit odd.... "On danger of Earth being hit by a meteor in 2012, scientists said that NASA astronomers are carrying out a study called the Spaceguard Survey to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit. "The last big impact was 65 million years ago, and that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs," they said. " The first paragraph "on danger of Earth being hit by a meteor in 2012....to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit" Didn't they attempt to debunk the whole 2012 rumor by saying that the Mayan calendar DOES NOT END? If so, why did they need to setup a group to study asteroids in 2012? The last paragraph, this stuck out to me "We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs
I saw that too. Add this to the Pope's statement of Sun and Moon not giving their light and Stars falling from the sky. Why do they have this compulsion to dispell 2012 doomsday fears. Just to elaborate further on your post, at the beginning of the article, the NASA scientist said that there was no threat they are aware of no threat associated with 2012. At the end of the article, we have a statement that completely throws the one made at the beginning out of balance. "On danger of Earth being hit by a meteor in 2012, scientists said that NASA astronomers are carrying out a study called the Spaceguard Survey to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit." I thought that they said at the beginning that there is no threat associated with 2012. However this statement in bold and this...."We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs," they said. Is this not only contradictory but also alluding to the statement of the Pope where he mentioned Stars falling from the sky? But also saying that something will fall but its not the end of the world? This is pretty much what the pope said that his followers should not worry about doomsday scenarios but that they should focus on jesus.. It is looking very likely that some things will fall this december. Yikes!!!!
:applause2: :5a:
"The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012," NASA said on its website.
