Take a trip to somewhere like the Grand Canyon, where you can clearly see, with your own eyes, millions of years of sediment layers in the rock walls.
Hydrological sorting...from the Flood "look it up" While you are at it, look up "poly strata fossils" Your religion is based upon fraud, the geologic column only exists in textbooks, not in real life.
So then why is the decay rate of uranium-238 different in the different layers of strata? If all that sediment settled at the time of 'the Flood', wouldn't the layers all have relatively the same age? If occurring by hydrological sorting. I just can't bring myself to believe it all somehow came to rest according to the AGE of the minerals, with the oldest settling deepest. Rather than by density or weight. Those odds are much too great. And, poly strata fossils do occur in relatively quick occurrences like floods, but not always. Volcanic ash or lava flows, avalanches, tectonic shifting, and large storms like hurricanes or tsunamis that can push coastal sand inland are some other examples.
Do the Christians of this forum have an opinion on this? Its pretty controversial to confront Christian belief of creation. What about when its done by one of your own?
