We are missing the point here. How long did man walk alongside dinosaurs before he forgot to paint them in caves adjacent to things that did exist at the time. I've never seen a credible scientist even mention creationism. I'd hate to see what the rest of these people's lives are like. I'm thinking trailer park.
http://www.genesispark.com/exhibits/evidence/historical/ancient/dinosaur/ ^You mean like these? Or the fact that the Chinese have 11 "existing" animals in their Zodiac, and then a dragon? Have you ever heard of Isaac Newton? Francis Bacon? Robert Boyle? Michael Faraday? Johann Kepler? Gregor Mendel? Louis Pasteur? A.E. Wilder-Smith? Nah, no scientist of any credibility believes in Creationism. The slight majority of modern-day scientists accept long ages, and molecule-to-man evolution, sure...but does that make it so? The world's best minds once believed the Earth was flat and that the planet's revolved around the Earth...were they stupid? Or was it just the accepted science of the day, so that is all they were taught, and everything in their studies was viewed through that world-view? The evidence for Creation is all around you. It is in the rocks, the trees, the animals, under microscopes, and clearly displayed in the heavens above. The evidence for Creation is not different evidence, it is the interpretation that is different, because we see through a different worldview. "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" Romans 1.21
Of course I've heard of these men, some great scientisds in their own right. But it's unfortunate that they couldn't live to see a standardized way of dating take shape. It's also quite unfortunate that you reject RCD as the right way. You lost me when you started quoting that ridiculous book though. I simply don't have the energy to go on and on about how wrong you are. Science has come a long way, we can actually leave earth to see that it is round, and we can date things to see how old they are. That's a fact. And it's one you'll have to accept. I'm curious if creationists spend all of their time looking for the most illogical arguments to hold up their theories that simply won't be around in 50 years. It's too much work trying to prove something that's already been falsified over and over. Just give it up. There's no truth in that book. Zero. Nada. Zilth. You'd have better luck proving another, more ancient holy book to be true.
Do the Christians of this forum have an opinion on this? Its pretty controversial to confront Christian belief of creation. What about when its done by one of your own?
